Toffee Apple Oatmeal Cookies

What you need

cup old fashioned oats

tsp ground cinnamon
tsp apple pie spice

tsp salt

tsp baking soda

tbsp butter

cup dark brown sugar
extra large egg

tsp vanilla extract

cup applesauce
cup toffee bits
Instructions
0 Preheat your oven to 350 degrees 1 Cream together 8 tablespoons of room temperature butter with 3/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 egg and a teaspoon of vanilla extract 2 In a separate bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour, 1 1/2 cups of old fashioned oats, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of apple pie spice, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and then add to the butter and egg mixture and mix until just combined 3 Fold in the diced apples and toffee bits until evenly distributed 4 Drop heaping tablespoons of dough 2 inches apart onto a parchment or silicone lined baking sheet 5 Bake on a middle rack at 350 degrees for 9-10 minutes or until the edges of the cookies begin to lightly brown a bit 6 Transfer the baking sheet onto a cooling rack and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring them directly onto the cooling rackView original recipe
