What you need

2 cup water

1 cup dark brown sugar

2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 salt
Instructions
0 Place the roasted and peeled chestnuts in a saucepan with a cup of brown sugar and 2 cups of water 1 Bring the water to a simmer and cook until the chestnuts have softened (about 15 minutes) 2 Use a spider or slotted spoon to transfer the softened chestnuts into a food processor and set the water they were simmered in aside for now 3 Add 2 tablespoons of natural unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt and blend until completely combined 4 Slowly add the liquid the chestnuts were simmered in while blending on low until the consistency is thick and smooth 5 Use immediately or allow the mixture to cool and chill in an airtight containerView original recipe
