What you need

½ cup water

1 red onion

2 tbsp granulated sugar

1 tsp salt

½ tsp granulated garlic

½ tsp celery salt

½ tsp white peppercorns

1 red pepper flake

0 Add 1 cup of apple cider vinegar and 1/2 cup of water into a small saucepan and place it over medium high heat 1 Bring the water and vinegar to a boil and then transfer the saucepan onto a heat proof surface, such as a wooden cutting board 2 Add 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of salt into the hot liquid and whisk until they are dissolved 8 Add the spices of your choice and whisk to combine 9 Place your thinly sliced onions into a large mixing bowl, pour the mixture over the onions and toss until all of the onions are coated 10 Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill until you are ready to useView original recipe
