0 Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a small saucepan 1 Once the water is boiling, whisk in 1 cup of granulated sugar 2 Continue whisking until the sugar is completely dissolved 3 Remove the simple syrup from the heat and whisk in the fresh grapefruit juice 4 Allow the grapefruit simple syrup to cool to room temperature 5 Fill a glass half full with ice 6 Add enough grapefruit simple syrup to come half way up the side of the glass 7 Fill the rest of the glass with sparkling water 8 Add a splash of grenadine syrup (optional) 9 Garnish with grapefruit wedges and fresh mint leavesView original recipe
