cup unsweetened apple sauce

cup maple syrup

tbsp orange oil

tsp vanilla extract

tsp baking powder

tsp baking soda

tsp ground cinnamon

tsp salt

cup all purpose flour

cup black walnuts

cup chocolate chunks

0 Preheat your oven to 375 degrees 1 In a large bowl, mash 2 large very ripe bananas until smooth 2 Add 1 large egg, 2/3 cup of apple sauce, 1/3 cup of honey or maple syrup, 3 tablespoons of a neutral oil and a teaspoon of vanilla extract and mix until fully combined 3 Add 1 1/3 cups of all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 cup of roughly chopped walnuts and mix until just combined 9 Fold in 2/3 cup of dark chocolate chunks until evenly distributed 4 Line a standard sized muffin tin and divide the batter between the cavities filling them close to full 6 Bake the muffins in a 375 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick come out of the center of a muffin clean 7 Transfer the muffins onto a cooling rack to cool 8 Store leftovers at room temperature in an airtight containerView original recipe
