1 cup water

1 cup fresh ginger

0 Combine a cup of water with a cu of granulated sugar and a cup of peeled and sliced fresh ginger in a small saucepan 1 Place the saucepan over medium high heat and bring the mixture to a low boil 2 Boil for 15 minutes occasionally stirring to ensure that all of the sugar has been brought up from the bottom of the saucepan 3 After 15 minutes, turn the heat off and let the saucepan sit over the stove for 30-60 minutes (depending on how boldly you prefer your ginger flavors to develop) 4 Carefully strain the simple syrup into a glass airtight container and discard the ginger 5 Chill in an airtight container for up to 3 weeksView original recipe
