What you need

⅙ cup granulated sugar

1 active dry yeast

1 ½ cup water

½ tsp salt

4 tbsp butter

2 tsp garlic salt

2 tbsp parmesan

1 tbsp parsley
Instructions
1 Combine 1 1/2 cups of warm water (100-110 degrees) with 1/8 cup of sugar and 1 packet of active dry yeast. Set aside for 5-10 minutes or until foamy 2 In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all purpose flour with 1/2 teaspoon of salt 3 Add bloomed yeast and mix to combine 4 Add additional flour until a soft dough forms that is tacky, but not sticky 5 Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and set it aside for 10 minutes 6 Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface 7 Divide the dough in half and then divide each half into 8 equal portions (16 total portions) 8 Roll each portion out into a tube about 8 inches long 9 Transfer all of the portions onto a parchment lined baking sheet and brush with melted butter 10 Cover lightly with greased plastic wrap and rest in a warm place for 30 minutes 11 Preheat the oven to 375 degrees 12 Bake on a middle rack at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes or until the breadsticks are golden brown 13 Transfer the baking sheet onto a cooling rack 14 Brush the hot breadsticks with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic salt, grated parmesan and dried parsley 15 Serve warmView original recipe
