Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies

Not your average chocolate chip cookies! Chewy cookies with a hint of peanut butter throughout, plenty of chocolate and a little extra protein.

What you need
cup firmly packed brown sugar

cup granulated sugar

tsp vanilla extract
extra large egg

egg yolk

cup creamy peanut butter

cup all purpose flour

tsp baking soda

tsp baking powder

tsp salt

cup chocolate chips

0 Preheat your oven to 350° 1 Cream 3/4 cup of room temperature butter with 1 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar using an electric hand mixer or a stiff whisk 2 Add 2/3 cup of creamy peanut butter, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, 1 large egg and 1 egg yolk and mix until the peanut butter is evenly distributed 3 Add 2 cups of all purpose flour, 3/4 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt and mix until just combined 4 Fold 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips or chopped chocolate into the cookie dough until evenly distributed 5 Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto a non-stick or parchment lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart and bake for 10-11 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden 6 Transfer the baked cookie dough onto a cooling rack until the cookies feel set 7 Store left over cookies in an airtight container at room temperatureView original recipe
